| Description | ABOUT THE COFFEE: Tasting Notes: Chocolate, caramel, panela sugar and floral notes Variety: Castillo - Colombia - Caturra Region : Tolima Colombia & Huila Colombia Process: Washed Processed ( Read about processing methods here ) Roast: Espresso Size: 250g / 1kg This coffee blend is comprised of two different beans, both from Colombia to create a delicious espresso blend suited for espresso and milk based coffees. ABOUT THE PRODUCERS: HUILA Huila state in south-western Colombia is associated with quality: higher acidity and distinctive cup profiles, fruit and caramel notes, sweet acidity, intense aroma. Huila is in the Macizo Colombiano area where the three ranges of the Colombian Andes come together to form one massive range. This convergence and the influence of the Amazon and Pacific rivers creates unique micro-climates. These micro-climates are essential for creating the many different flavour profiles of the coffees in this region. Producers often plant avocados and other tropical fruits amongst their coffee trees to bring cover and flavour to the coffee plants. TOLIMA Tolima, the second region in which these beans are sourced, is located in west-central Colombia. This region is fully enclosed by the Andean mountains and the Magdalena river basin, making it rather remote and challenging to access. This coffee is produced in small farms in Planadas Tolima, a state committed to quality and to minimising environmental damage due to coffee production. * Please note that our shipping times will depend on when the coffee is roasted during the week to ensure we always send out coffee at it's freshest.
