Brew & Rate is a community-driven catalog for the whole home-coffee ritual. Discover, rate, and review specialty coffees, espresso machines, and grinders — all in one place. It's built first and foremost for home espresso hobbyists dialing in their setup, though anyone exploring specialty coffee or researching gear before a purchase is welcome.
How ratings work
Every score comes from the community. Members rate coffees across a set of tasting attributes, and those ratings combine into a single BR community score you'll see throughout the site. Ratings and written reviews sit side by side, so you get both the number and the context behind it. To keep rankings meaningful, a coffee needs a minimum number of ratings before it appears on the leaderboard — so a single enthusiastic vote can't push an item to the top.
Data sources & attribution
Part of our catalog is seeded from open, reputable sources: coffee data comes in part from Open Food Facts, and much of our equipment imagery comes from Wikimedia Commons. Because this data is open and community-maintained, completeness varies from item to item — some entries are richly detailed, while others are still being filled in.
